GIBSONIA, PENNSYLVANIA — SodaPop Records today officially announced the launch of The Dead Air Saints, a new recording project built around bold songwriting, immersive visual storytelling, and a modern approach to artist sustainability in a rapidly changing music industry.

The brainchild of SodaPop Record's founder C. Scott Gilbert, The Dead Air Saints fuse cinematic rock, dark romantic aesthetics, power-pop sensibility, and fashion-forward visual identity into a multimedia experience designed for both streaming audiences and large-format live presentation.

The project emerges from SodaPop Records’ long-standing mission to help independent musicians adapt to what the label describes as the “post-1996 Telecommunications Act world” — an era that dramatically reduced opportunities for local and independent artists through media consolidation, while streaming simultaneously reshaped traditional music revenue models.

“The Dead Air Saints are about reclaiming atmosphere, emotion, and identity in rock music,” said Gilbert. “We wanted to create something cinematic and timeless — a band that feels equally at home on a concert stage, in a fashion editorial, or synced to film and television.”

The band’s visual identity combines black-and-white noir imagery, lace, leather, chrome, stage haze, and selective raspberry-sunset accents — creating what SodaPop describes as “ethereal rock noir.” The project intentionally emphasizes immersive mood, synchronized visual production, and iconic rock-and-roll imagery over conventional genre tropes.

The Dead Air Saints are currently completing work on their debut recordings, including the upcoming single “Blow,” slated for worldwide digital release later this year through SodaPop Records.

In addition to traditional releases, the band is being developed with a strong focus on master recording ownership, synchronization licensing, and long-term content creation for television, film, and visual media partnerships.

Recording sessions for The Dead Air Saints are taking place at SodaPop House / Oakwood Studios in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.
