Every once in a while, you run into a problem nobody seems to have solved.

For us, it was stage production.

Traditional lighting trusses are heavy, slow to deploy, and designed around yesterday's technology.

So one morning, over a cup of coffee and a blank notebook page, Scotto (the Dead Air Saints technical wizard) sketched an idea in one of his many idea books:

A mobile vertical rock and roll lighting truss that one person could easily move.

A truss that could carry audio, video, lighting and control data — with zero setup required (all wireless).

A truss loaded with technology that could configure itself (zero setup).

A truss that only needed a single 120-volt outlet to come alive.

That sketch became the first LightTree™ Truss.

Months later, the prototype was built by hand in the SodaPop House shop.

Today a network of LightTree Trusses are part of every Dead Air Saints production.

Sometimes innovation doesn't start in a laboratory.

Sometimes it starts with coffee, a notebook, and refusing to accept “that's the way it's always been done.”
